Neptune Henriksen

For almost a decade, Neptune was a self-produced solo performer, in Australia and the UK, before expanding into other creative ventures.
During these self-produced years, they wrote, directed, and performed, five alternate comedy shows, and three theatre shows. These shows toured around Australia and the UK, and were met with critical acclaim and award nominations.
They also lead workshops at the University of Washington (Seattle, USA), directed other stand-up comedian’s solo comedy shows, and hosted stand-up, cabaret, and burlesque during this self-produced time.
Between 2018 and 2022, Neptune focused on prose writing, directing other’s solo works, playwriting, and leading workshops, while based in Naarm (Melbourne), VIC, Australia.
In 2022, they made their playwriting debut with Long Drive Together, which will tour to Midsumma Festival and Adelaide Fringe in 2024.
And in late 2023, they returned to solo comedy with Being A Woman For Money, which will tour to Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Perth Comedy Festival in 2024.
